SeaHawk Price List - 1986

Price List
This price list reflects the SeaHawk as sold in 1986, some six years after Moores took over manufacture. The description of the "standard complete boat" confirms experience that suggests that throughout its life the SeaHawk was always offered in plain white.
The first point of change from Reedcraft days, is the provision of foresail sheet winches. It would be interesting to know whether this feature was new in 1986, introduced at the start of Moore's manufacture, or some point in between.
In this list, the cabin door is specified as "two-part", whereas many boats, certainly many earlier ones, have single piece doors. It is known that this is not date related as, for example, #232 (built April 1973) is known to have had a two piece door from new, yet later boats still have a single piece door.
Finally, the complete boat is described as having the four-berth moulding seen on the Description page.
The existence of the part-built option confirms tale of the origins of his boat, from one of the owners of a boat in the Hickling colony.
The "Additional Items" will not come as a surprise to those who have read through the Description section or seen the notes accompanying boats in the Gallery Section.
The "Additional Sails" section is different, however. Conversations with Jeckells brought up no mention of a spinnaker being available, as standard, for a SeaHawk. Also note the different terms for sail size. Jeckells referred to a standard and reduced set, whereas Moore's large genoa conforms to the size described as standard by Jeckells, with a small one available at a size smaller than might have been guessed.
Order Form
The main point of interest in the order form is that in this version it specifies the optional colour schemes that were available. However, it seems unlikely that these were non-cost options, yet both order form and price list fail to mention what the price might have been.
