Boat Mart - Show Report

Pyefleet Boat Sales worked hard to promote the SeaHawk, taking the boat to, at least, the Earls Court Boat Show and the National Boat Caravan and Leisure Show at the NEC, Birmingham, in 2001. Boat Mart magazine gave the SeaHawk first mention in the section of their report of the NBCLS headed "New Arrivals".

The magazine may have the details of the takeover slightly wrong. Information from David Cornabe, reported on the History page, suggests that Jim Tubby, owner of Mistral Craft at Loddon, manufactured the boats and PBS promoted and sold them. What is unclear is whether PBS acted as Mistral's agent, or Mistral was contracted by PBS to build their boats. In another article from this period, Jim Tubby is given as the contact for boat sales, so perhaps the relationship changed over this period from one to the other.

The appearance at shows was supported by advertisements and a handbill. At the same time articles appeared in the boating press. Examples currently available appeared in Yachting World and Practical Boat Owner.
