Yachting World - Page 1 Yachting World - Page 2

This is a confusing one and a half page article from Yachting World. The text suggests that the SeaHawk is a brand new design. However, it is plain that it dates from the Pyefleet Boat Sales re-launch, as can be seen from the emblem on the sail plan drawing.

Yet the photograph dates from the 1970s launch showing a very early Reedcraft boat with the same number, but original emblem and the then standard, black anodised mast and boom.

Also surprising is the mention of the Stuart Turner engine. Surely, this information dates from the original launch, 30 years earlier? However, the most startling thing about this article is the reference to a deep keel variant! Was any SeaHawk ever built with a deep keel, like the Senorita? And was this a current option in 2000? Surely, this article is just a re-print from 1970 with only the final two sentences updated?
